![[grow_down.png]] Everyone always says grow up. How often do you hear the term **Grow Down**? # The Benefits of Being a Kid What's there to admire about kids? - they are **immensely happy** - they are **incredibly optimistic** (to the point of being naive) - they have **a ton of energy** Two questions: 1. How many adults do you know like that? 2. Who wouldn't like to live like that? Of course, there's also drawbacks to being a kid. Kids are: - 😭 emotional to the downside - 🙉 can't accept reality But it feels like a lot of adults are like that nowadays anyway. And they use crutches like drugs & alcohol to open up a bit of their childish side in a societally-accepted way. (it's ok to act stupid when drunk) It's also a reason why people love kids so much - they let people act like them (in order to entertain them). And it's probably a reason why I love dogs so much. In today's worlds, adults lack true play. *(side-note: if anyone wants to create a playground for adults, I'll invest in your company)* The closest we get to play is in semi-controlled settings like dancing - another reason why clubs and concerts are so popular. # Conclusion To keep it short & sweet - there's nothing wrong with being a kid. Society will look at you weird for "not acting your age" - but you should be mature & independent enough to not care what others think. Again - who would like to live like the average societal member? ***When's the last time you grew down?***
